I have long been passionate about creating music videos; as a medium, they seamlessly combine my interests in dance, music, and visual storytelling, which continues to influence my current work through the integration of music into many of my scenes. Prior to university, I completed an EPQ in which I produced three music videos to accompany my essay, “How have music videos changed over the past 40 years?”. Each video was designed to reflect a distinct era—the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000–2010s. Although they were created on a limited budget with basic equipment, the project afforded me significant creative freedom. It was through this experience that I discovered my enthusiasm for directing music videos, and I am keen to pursue this further in the future.
